Why are your strongest reasons against or with note taking apps?

There are loads of note taking apps out there and a lot of them either promise features or simplicity. Personally I only take notes when I think I will need to recall the information at a later date and seldom do so. Hence I prefer simple note taking app that I can access and hide quickly.
