ahrefs is great, but you have to trust their metrics as they don't use Google's API. I built kwrds.ai based on this premise, feel free to check it out

If you are looking for something cost-effective you can check out marketing miner: https://www.marketingminer.com/ QApop 2.0 can help you too, but it is more for topic research to know what people are asking on Quora.

@maxwellcdavis haven't used any of those for keyword research. I use my own tool, KatLinks, and also LowFruits.

Semrush stands out for several reasons, including, but not limited to: 1. Semrush has a larger keyword database, with 25.3 billion keywords compared to Ahrefs' 5.5 billion. 2. Semrush offers better search volume accuracy. 3. Semrush provides Search Intent data, a feature Ahrefs lacks. 4. When comparing entry-level plans, Semrush allows for 10K maximum rows and lets you export up to 900K rows per month, whereas Ahrefs limits you to only 2.5K results per search with a maximum of 500K export rows per month. Check out my review article, "Semrush vs. Ahrefs – Which One is Better for Keyword Research?" where I compare the keyword research capabilities of Semrush and Ahrefs. Ahrefs for Keyword Research and other on-page SEO tactics, SEMRush for off-page :)
    I will go with Ahrefs.

I have been using SEMRush. It provides many excellent features and is worth the money. Haven't tried ahrefs yet.

It really depends on what you expect from these tools to do. There are also some more other affordable options that can do the whole keyword research for you. Marketing Miner also provides data to discover trending keywords or related questions to know what questions people ask in your niche: https://www.marketingminer.com/e...

Thank you for this question. We at CBD SEO https://cbdlocalseo.com/ mostly use Ahrefs as it is more functional and has more benefits in my opinion. Great tool.

In my experience, both Ahrefs and Semrush are highly efficient SEO tools for keyword research. Ahrefs offers comprehensive data on search volume, keyword difficulty, and backlinks, making it ideal for competitor analysis and content optimization. On the other hand, Semrush provides a wide range of features, including keyword tracking, competitor research, and content ideas, making it a versatile tool for SEO strategy. Personally, I use both Ahrefs and Semrush for working on my friend's website (https://bcbsprefix.com/) , as they complement each other and provide valuable insights for optimizing keywords and improving organic rankings.
