Wow, I just had long discussions with my confounder on this! I recently changed my perspective on which platform to put my primary focus on, that being Tik Tok. The reason is, as a non-funded company organic discovery is what we need to focus and rely on. With no other platform enabling organic growth like Tik Tok, the belief is this is the channel for us. I am not a Tik Tok user in my personal life, so I had negative connotations initially, but after much research, I feel confident this will be the best channel in the early days. My current thinking is that Tik Tok is a digital advertising platform that facilitates organic discovery with sharing principles being focused on related content rather than merely on highly viewed/popular content. Meaning ANYBODY's content can go viral and drive traffic/leads to their website & top of the funnel. If you believe you can talk to your users (as you should as a founder) and you are solving a true problem (which your solution/product/service should) and have a real value proposition (as your product/service needs to), Tik Tok allows you to share that organically with audiences with short unpaid content! It is also a great litmus test to determine if you have met those 3 prongs above. If not, it forces you to revisit and focus on those 3 elements until you do, as all three are needed for growth.
