What do you do to calm yourself down before situations like pitches, speeches, etc.?
Do you meditate? Do you shake it all out?
What's the best to do a few days before the event, and what is best to do a few hours before the event?

I would start with some breathing techniques and try to relax my mind. If breathing alone is not enough, I walk around and try to lose the focus on the stressful situation.
The last step would be acting. Which means I pretend it's not me standing there talking to the audience, it's someone else who has the personality needed to stay calm. Mostly this works for me.
Of course, it's no guarantee.
I took a deep breath before any exciting or nervous situation.
Breathing exercises.
Expressing gratitude.
Realizing this is just another moment in one ever going life.
