You can learn a lot of very interesting things:
What is your best marketing channel?
Where your customers spend their time?
Who influence their bying desigion?
What do they like/don't like about your product?
What words do they use to describe your product?
And so on :)
Not Understanding the Market, I worked in an Edtech Startup, Right after Covid, Everything was about E- learning, and the market was super inflated. As time Passed, the Bubble burst and we started struggling with conversions and CAC, despite having users loved our product. Understanding the market is super critical.
One of the biggest mistakes we (I and my co-founder) made was selling almost everything in an ecommerce store. We failed though, and the biggest lesson we learned was we should have started small, focused on one category and then would have moved to others and so on...
1. Start small, focus on a small problem and solve it.
2. Talk to your customers as much as you can.
3. Do a lot of marketing.
