What kind of websites do you visit to stay updated about the world news + My resources
Business Marketing with Nika

I rarely watch Breaking news on TV (too many bad things) so I rather focus on things that are more positive (or neutral) and are concentrated on progress.
My Top news resources are:
1. Techcrunch
2. Social media today
3. Economist
4. The New York Times
5. Product Hunt (of course, to know more about the latest products)
What are your resources?

Mine is very "AI-centric" because that's what I love, but here goes:
1. To know what's going on in Silicon Valley: Hacker News
2. To know what's going on in the world: Google Trends (and sooooometimes Break the Web)
3. To know what's going on in AI: YouTube! (accounts like Mattew Berman or AI Explained)
4. To know about the latest products: Product Hunt, Show HN, Github Trending, and GPT Store.

Do you guys visit the website directly or use an app to collate all new articles?
Techcrunch,
wired,
The Verge,
Mashable,
MIT Technology Review,
Engadget,
But recently we're building an tool to help us curate and summarize news from my chosen resources, supporting both reading and listening methods for it, so even when you're driving ,the important info could be acquired. Do you wanna try? (if so pls give me feedback for the product?)
@busmark_w_nika Sure, unapod.com, but we're still developing on it, if you find any bug or the user experience bad, please let me know.
That's an interesting list, Nika. I tend to not rely a lot on social media for REAL news and sometimes, go for traditional channels like newspaper, television!
@busmark_w_nika I've always found them more reliable in the era of "fake news". Of course, you can get more updates from social places like X but the true stories are correct in printed media, mostly.
Videco - AI Personalized Video
I like your list! I normally use Feedly to get all in 1 go
Wired
Fast Company
Harvard Business Review
MIT Technology Review
HackerNews
Jupitrr
I use this extension called Refind which shows all the new and old articles from around the web on the home page of Chrome.
But I also use an app called Volv for the news. I found both of them on PH
Bababot
X and Tech Crunch
After years of reading TNYT, Bloomberg, Fox, Guardian, techncrunch, wired, verge, politico, and even freakin Financial times i decide i will no longer follow their BS. Its unreadable...
so i left with Barons (EN) and motejlekskocdopole (CZ).... oh and 9gag for toilet time :)
@mattcaine Hi Matt, I noticed that you are interested in catching information, may I invite you to join the beta test for our latest product Unapod? It may help. And we also need your feedback to improve it~
@busmark_w_nika nope, iam from same region as you :)
Motejlek and Skocdopole are only real business reporters in cz/sk... maybe one of the best in europe...That's why their subscription cost 800$/year :)
@mattcaine sooo kind of u! Just send message to u in LinkedIn and hope that we could be friends lol~~
Hi Nika!
I completely agree that focusing on more positive or neutral content is essential, and the resources you’ve mentioned are incredibly useful for staying informed on progress and innovation.
I often find myself checking similar types of sources as well. It’s refreshing to see others prioritizing these sources. Appreciate you sharing these!
@busmark_w_nika it is super easy to track the latest news
TikTok also is a great platform to learn new skills/news
《HackerNews》《AppSumo》
I keep up with global news through BBC and Reuters, but I also read scientific articles to dive deeper into topics like technology and AI. This mix gives me a well-rounded and detailed understanding of current events.
@busmark_w_nika Hi! With my background in education-focused studies (language education), I gravitate towards journals that explore educational issues. I often refer to journal 'System' on ScienceDirect for its insights into technology in education and *Computer Assisted Language Learning* from Taylor & Francis, which delves into tech-enhanced language learning. These resources help me stay engaged with innovative approaches in modern education.

x.com if you know how to use this platform ...
I mostly go with X! Easier to track of what's going on as well as gaining various of user's perspective towards it.
@busmark_w_nika sometimes, yes! It depends on the context and the source for me, but I find it a valuable tool for gathering diverse perspectives. How about you? What's your opinion towards X?
I rarely follow any news - TV or internet. Rather, if I hear important things coming up in discussions around me (in the real world), then I will go back to news sites (the Guardian) to follow up.
@mogthesify Hi Oliver, I think maybe you will feel helpful to have summery of recent news when you need it. For this feature, may I invite you to join the beta test of our read it later product UnaPod and get feedback? Hope this will helpful to u lol~
@tanya_unapod Actually, in my experience there is a mismatch between what news outlet provide and what would be useful for me as a citizen.
What news outlets give me is sensations that keep me in panic mode and glue me to the sceen.
What I need is a quick summary of the information (facts!) that are relevant for me in my town/region/country. Relevant meaning - what is it that I must know and that I probably need to act on. Examples are changes in regulations/legislation, Upcoming votes (I am in Switzerland), etc. If you can deliver that, I am in.
@mogthesify Hi Oliver, thanks for replying. I totally understand your demands and this is why we build this application. And now, summery of information- as you mentioned, yes we can provide. And what you need to do is to choose your preferences, from our library, or just input keywords or RSS link, this may match your expectation I think,(or may have a little bit gap lol~), and for the future, we will add more features to make it smarter for matching user's preferences. And you may have interests in trying UnaPod after my explain, pls clikc https://unapod.com/auth/sign-in.... to have a try, and we need your feedback to dismiss the "gap" between UnaPod and your expectation as I think you have a very good view. That will be our great honor^_^~
@mogthesify BTW,I just tell our team your view about "what I need to know", they all think it is a good suggestion and we are excited to tell u that we are building "UnaPod" Agent, which can identify user's "like and dislike",and it have ai communication feature which can allow user to describe their demands, we are thrive to invite you to try UnaPod, and we hope that it can really help you~~
@tanya_unapod the biggest problem is that standard news outlets don't actually write about relevant things.
Also, I found this gem to consider: https://www.theguardian.com/medi...
