What is your opinion of AI generated images? Ethical?

There has been a lot of talk recently about AI image generation since Stable Diffusion was open sourced, most of it has been centred around whether the images generated can be considered stolen or not. This stems from the fact that the models have been trained on millions of images from popular artists, and inputting a prompt such as "A teacup in the style of Greg Rutkowski" will give you something very reminiscent of his distinct style.
Can these AI image generation tools be considered ethical or are we all going to burn?
Bonus question: any industries you think these images are going to shake up? At the moment it seems the most practical use for these tools are generating interesting youtube thumbnails.

It is 100% ethical, we can't stop the evolution of technology, and AI is also a part of that. AI can't think and only humans can do that. We need to work on how to use AI efficiently instead of seeing it as a competitor.
Definitely, it's going to shake up the whole world and there are a lot of use cases that have been answered with the help of AI.
