If you live and breathe by your calendar, what do you block time for beyond the usual meetings and events?

@nik_hazell hah I do the same for the months I work remote! And leaving it open for my team to see that I'm surfing (not just "busy" status) because I want people to see the reason and that it's okay to block time for these things.

lunch time has been a thing for me
Ha, @david_tedaldi1 from our team does this too and I've never been able to understand the need to remind myself to eat!
@sanghita_dey I feel you, have my daily task scheduled in morgen :D
15 mins of relax time after each meeting.
@aaron_arias I need that kind of discipline in my life (and calendar!). Do you have rules set in your calendar to protect this time?
@brenna_donoghue Yes, I use Reclaim, which automatically creates a 15-minute event after all of my meetings.
I see a lot of people reacting with things that they no not want to forget. But do not forget also that planning things in your calendar, also gives you a grip of your time.
Time is the only thing that is really limited, and everyone has the same amount of it. So allocating time for actions, tasks gives you the ability to use your time in the best way.
Lunch seems funny to plan. Why would you forget. But it also blocks that time to do other things during that moment.
@patrickloonstra I couldn't agree more with your perspective on the importance of allocating your time where it matters. I find it interesting how much our calendars have gone from being just events, to also being a way to prioritize and protect time. I was watching a video the other day on the importance of building rest and recovery moments in our day after cognitively intense work sessions in the same way we would after an intense workout. I think there's something to it.
