@rondo It is already here, the news came out today https://www.producthunt.com/prod...

@rondo Exciting but it should still come under the realm of AI

Experts and futurists predict that the next trend after AI could be quantum computing, augmented reality, blockchain technology, the Internet of Things (IoT), or a combination of these technologies. -Quantum computing holds the promise of exponential improvements in processing power leading to breakthroughs in drug discovery, scientific research, and cryptography. -Augmented reality uses digital technology to enhance or augment the real-world environment and is already making significant strides in gaming and education. -Blockchain technology is poised to revolutionize industries such as finance, healthcare, and logistics by providing secure, decentralized, and transparent record-keeping. -The IoT is a network of interconnected devices that can share data and communicate with each other, and it is already transforming the way we live and work.

@pedro_de_la_nube Quantum computing seems to be the common answer

The next trend after AI could be the convergence of AI with emerging technologies like quantum computing, neuromorphic computing, or brain-computer interfaces, enabling more powerful and efficient problem-solving capabilities.

@bangtanwifue_gumpz Seems like this is the general consensus here
    Vlad Zivkovic
Ai won't progress much, we have limits in hardware, so there is a long way to go before the next trend.
    Anil Matcha
@vladimir_zivkovic But horizontal scaling seems to work good so far

How about AE as artificial experience? When people signing up to experience feelings on demand. AKA cognitive manipulation, selling new “drug” as “healthy”. I did some work and see that it’s can be very next big thing. Now that is scary and fascinating same time. What is your thoughts on that?
    Anil Matcha
@kristin24968340 This is interesting and frightening. Care to share any resources on this ?

I don't think AI is done yet and neither is web3. A lot is yet to come. For example, generative AI is largely restricted to text right now. It has to expand its horizons in audio and videos as well. AR is a part of it as well. We at Wavel are developing some cutting-edge algorithms for Voice AI. Do check out the product launch on 25th March.

@abhinav_wavel Looking forward to your launch, do reach out on twitter

This is actually a difficult question, because so far many trends have appeared suddenly, and new trends may come from things that most people did not expect

@new_user_242d4809c6b09 Everything is moving at breakneck speed

I can't wait to see the moment we speak to people through holograms, just like in the movies. Phones will be on watches. So AR will shape the future.
    Anil Matcha
@manab_boruah AR is my bet as well. Holograms are going to be cool

There are many opportunities for growth in AI field. With advancements in machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing, I'm likely to see more sophisticated robots that can perform increasingly complex tasks.
    Anil Matcha
@shaur_ul_asar Robotics usecases are going to be interesting

Humans are going to stage a comeback.

I think AI will connect with hardware, and we will connect with Meta. In the future, AI will come to do all the "real world" works while we will stay in "virtual world" and do whatever~
    Anil Matcha
@dot_brand Seems like an utopian future
    Ashrey Ignise R
    Quantum computing without a doubt

@aignise Everyone seems to vote on this
    Aaikansh Agrawal
IMO the next trend will be Low code/No code. Developers are slightly shifting to that and citizen developers are also getting more power with that.
    🔨 Travis Page 🔨
@aaikansh_agrawal1 totally agree. GPT already amplifies no code because you can essentially teach yourself how to do complex integrations between no code and hard-to-use APIs
    🔨 Travis Page 🔨
@aaikansh_agrawal1 I think its already here. Have you been using the Chat GPT API?
    Anil Matcha
    @aaikansh_agrawal1 Wasn't nocode a trend already
    Aaikansh Agrawal
@matcha_anil Yes, it is a trend already. But I believe the bubble has not yet busted
    Aaikansh Agrawal
@travis_page YEs, GPT with low code/ no code will be a game changer in coming years

Well we've got a couple different types of AI. I think of Tim Urban's article on it from like 8 years ago or something (https://waitbutwhy.com/2015/01/a...) Maybe artificial general intelligence (AGI)?
    Anton von Hunerbein
We are talking about artificial intelligence I think it will define its own trend. maybe it's searching for a deeper understanding of the universe or maybe it figures out what consciousness is and maximises for that. What do you think is next
    Anil Matcha
@anton_von_hunerbein I believe AI + AR can be the one
    Daniel
    AGI or quantum computing possibly

    AI Discovery Dashboard
We are not done with AI yet, but it will be AGI.
    🔨 Travis Page 🔨
@pratik_rajurkar completely agree, at least so far as, the next earth-shaking trend
    Anil Matcha
@pratik_rajurkar If AGI arrives, we will definitely be done with AI
    Anil Matcha
@jason_andries1 My guess is AR as well. AGI being developed is scary
