Hey guys! We're building a SaaS tool and we're planning on launching it on Product hunt and AppSumo. Our official AppSumo launch date is 9th of September. And we're ready to do a Product hunt launch before that. Do you recommend or not? And what other advice do you have?

Both ProductHunt and AppSumo can be valuable platforms for launching and promoting a new product, but they serve a bit different purposes. ProductHunt is fantastic for generating initial buzz and getting in front of an engaged community of early adopters and tech enthusiasts. The platform's feature-driven approach and upvoting system can help quickly validate your product's appeal. AppSumo, on the other hand, is more focused on long-term sales and monetization. Their curated deals and large email list make them a great channel for driving revenue, especially for SaaS or digital products. Many successful products have leveraged both platforms at different stages of their growth. Ultimately, there's no one-size-fits-all answer - it often comes down to your specific product, audience, and launch strategy. But both ProductHunt and AppSumo can be powerful tools in the right context.

Launching on Product Hunt first can be a great move. It’ll give you some early feedback and help you refine your pitch before the AppSumo launch. Just ensure you’ve got a solid plan to keep the momentum going for both launches.
