โ๏ธ If you specialise in collecting emails, do you have a separate website designed to collect emails?
ATM, I do not have a personal website (this will be a long-term thing because it's me ๐) but after 6 months I created a page for "sign up for my newsletter". It is a temporary solution and I try to create a more complex system around that.
I want to have more insight into who those people are to know what to serve them, so I created a very loooong form. Many people will be put off, but the questions answered tell me a lot.
The structure I created:
โน๏ธ Short copy โ what the newsletter is about (topics + purpose)
๐ Those exhausting questions
๐โโ๏ธ Explainer โย why do I need this information? (Yeah, it has a reason.)
๐ Examples of my newsletter (people can have a glimpse)
๐ฃ Sponsorship opportunity
โญ๏ธ Testimonials
๐ฑ My socials to get in touch
Side notes:
โ It is not completed
โ I will integrate other things like sponsorship tiers (change provider)
โ Maybe will change the newsletter provider (considering)
I am thankful for the community which reached out to me and positively surprised that received reviews and feedback without asking. It means a lot to me. ๐ซถ
I am sharing an example of my "unfinished" process in the comments. If you want to receive tomorrow's newsletter, feel free to subscribe and join the Starship. ๐
And also, feel free to share your newsletter.

I focus on a visually appealing design with images related to the newsletter content, a brief introduction, and the signup form.

I have not put a lot of time or effort into my newsletter yet, but I use Sendfox.com. There is a deal for a one-time lifetime fee of $49. Simple landing page. I like the ability to set up email automation. And you can connect your YouTube channel and it automatically creates a newsletter for you when you post a video.

@dan_o_malley Do they have polls inside the newsletter? I try to find something like that :D I think that only Beehiiv it has :D
Consider a small incentive like a free e-book or discount code to entice users to subscribe.
Address user concerns about privacy by adding a short privacy policy statement that assures users their information is secure.
Ensure your landing page looks good and functions flawlessly on all devices, especially mobile phones.
People don't want to be overwhelmed. Use clear fonts, ample white space, and a layout that's easy to navigate.

My landing page includes a single-field signup form to reduce friction.
I think testimonial are great for showcasing feedback from current subscribers. It adds credibility and reassures new visitors about the value of subscribing.
I have not created any landing page before even for a newsletter, so don't now much on this. But thank you for sharing your suggestions.
Our newsletter sign-up page is minimalist and straightforward. A clear headline introduces the newsletter, followed by a concise description. The sign-up form is placed centrally, with social proof in the form of subscriber counts and endorsements from industry leaders.

@james_chappel can you share the link?
Our approach is content-focused. The landing page starts with a compelling headline and a few paragraphs about the value of our newsletter. The form is short, asking only for an email address. We also feature excerpts from past newsletters and a section on upcoming topics to entice potential subscribers.

Your newsletter landing page sounds like a treasure trove of insights! It's like a choose-your-own-adventure book, but instead, it's a choose-your-subscription-experience form. Who knew collecting emails could be so engaging and informative? Keep up the intergalactic work, Starship captain! ๐๐
