What do you think about Christmas shopping fever?

I always experience it myself, I must admit. I buy a lot of things that I don't necessarily need, and then end up giving them away. This shopping fever is 100% created by marketers and is a great opportunity to have one more sales boost before the year is over. Do you have shopping fever? Do you leverage it for your business?
