What do you need for creating a strong community?

Of course, besides having a platform where you are trying to reach out to the right target group, you need to have some "inner" traits that help you mould a good community. πŸ‘₯ πŸ‘‡ – Be protective (people in your community should feel safe) – Be engaging – Be helpful – Be kind What would you add? What should a good community builder be like?

Being a person of integrity is uberrrrr important. This is highly subjective but I believe also agnostic of the type of community you’re building.

Communities thrive on interaction so you’ve got to encourage relationships.

Be helpful, kind and honest? Transparency is (usually) a good thing in my humble experience

I believe a common mission would also aid a lot in getting along with everyone.

I love the emphasis on kindness and empathy in building a strong community. It's truly the foundation of meaningful connections. Being proactive and providing value are key too! Great insights here! πŸ™Œ

I think success Is a consequence of people. Also, the company that would benefit from having a community and hasn’t started it yet, is already paying for it. I wrote an essay on this, you can check it here: πŸ‘‰ https://savianboroanca.com/essay... Please let me know what you think πŸ™

Be kind, be helpful. I believe these are the qualities needed to build a strong communityβ€”where everyone is kind and supports each other.

A good community builder needs to listen first. Understanding what people really want fosters trust and loyalty. Not every solution is a perfect answer right away!

@busmark_w_nika Yes. More generally I just mean I need a clear reason to join a community and stay there (instead of a similar community or none at all).

Be human. Nobody likes someone who just sounds like a robot all the time.

I think a good community builder should also be inclusive. Everyone should feel welcome regardless of their background. Also, being transparent is important. Let the community members know how decisions are made. And being responsive to their needs and feedback promptly can strengthen the community as well.

100% agreed on kindness being key! πŸ™Œ A few other essentials IMO: 1) Shared purpose that resonates with members 2) Easy ways for folks to contribute & feel ownership 3) Proactive community managers who lead by example. And ofc you need the right platform to enable engagement & connection!
