Particularly in light of emerging tech with Generative AI, how do you think these advancements might transform design methodologies and processes?

Generative AI is as good as its training input was, and even then it's just useless for anything design related.
The only thing that changed here is the "inspiration step" that every designer goes through by checking other people's work and creating their own designs based on what they saw.
Anything AI generated is hardly usable at best, and even for inspiration, it's pretty bad.

@chris_sarca The design landscape is changing. While there's a long way to go, there has been considerable progress in the graphic design segment.
Generative AI is great and makes job easier, but it lacks creativity.
Good thing, Logomakerr.ai has it both! You can create your own unique logo using this website in under 5 minutes and modify the design at your own preference.
My guess is that being skilled with a particular tool will be less relevant, and on the flip-side, having good taste will be more important than ever.
@leif_from_emberly Indeed, having a good design sense will become increasingly important.
In the future, design is likely to become even more integrated with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and augmented reality. There will be a greater focus on user-centered and inclusive design, incorporating diverse perspectives and ensuring accessibility. Sustainability and ethical considerations will play an increasingly significant role, with designers prioritizing eco-friendly materials and practices. Collaborative and interdisciplinary approaches to design will continue to flourish, as designers work alongside experts from various fields to address complex challenges and create innovative solutions.

I think AI will take hold as the "first step" or "inspo" phase. I do not think it will ever fully replace the creative process but will be an important tool to help streamline work and boost efficiency.
@elissa_craig cErtainly, AI will serve as an assistant and as a productivity enhancer.
I predict that designers will be replaced by robots, but don't worry, we'll still be needed to give emotional support to the AI 😂
@realvladgolub Not really:) “emotional support to the AI” sounds like a future job profile.
Emerging tech like Generative AI will significantly transform design methodologies and processes, bringing about substantial changes in the field.
@vladislav_pavlenko Absolutely!
I really appreciate the effort you’ve put into this post. It was very insightful and has given me a new perspective on the topic.
