@jonathanm What qualities of theirs make it sticky?

@akazaveri Once you start using their software, especially at an advanced level, it's very difficult to get out of them. it's almost like learning a new language
The 'stickiest' platforms that have an exceptional growth engine are those that offer a unique and valuable product or service. These platforms can be difficult to penetrate, which means potential customers are more likely to stick around. Some of the most sticky platforms include Instagram, Slack, Airbnb, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Tesla Motors Inc., Apple Inc., Pinterest, Uber Technologies Inc., and Spotify AB.

@akazaveri @richw I totally do not "get" Discord at all. I have subcribed to several project discords around Investing, Crypto mining, Tech, etc. Yet, I always miss notifications, since it's semi-anonymous I have no idea whom I talk to, and even if I find an interesting topic / discussion, it disappears somewhere in the doomscroll

@akazaveri @finclout If servers don't use "threads" correctly then an individual topic can get lost easily within the chat channels. But they are also easily summoned again I guess if brought up again. Feel free to check out our server, it's not strictly crypto mining but it's everything investing and trading, for all markets. https://discord.gg/tradehub

@akazaveri @richw Interesting. How do you distinguish your Discord to the many others like (Fleet Trading, Unusual Whales, Rocket & Wealth, The Hole, and many many more)

@akazaveri @finclout Most servers are just a place to talk about trading, some might offer an educational aspect, or even trade alerts (buysell signals). We have a full educational section, and do multiple live stream educational sessions a month, try to get at least 1 in weekly. We also offer trade signals for stocks, options, futures, and crypto along with analysis and detailed charts. But what we offer that no one else does is our app and it's platform. Our free social trading app is only functional through a Discord bot right now, that is available to any server to add and use. It allows users to manually input their trades and our app tracks those, calculates their stats, and ranks them on community/server or a global wide leaderboard. We've been testing brokerage integration recently which will allow users to link their broker to auto track their trades, and offer them ability to auto send their trades into Discord/Twitter/Stocktwits. We're also working on these inputs directly from the web browser, where after we will allow user signups without requiring a Discord account.
