What are the pre launch marketing tactics that you should keep in mind before launching product?

@aloukik_bhatnagar Producthunt launch is a marketing stunt. But can be immensely valuable. To generate the traffic alone via ads it would have cost ~$1m. Also it's a long tail, so you get featured on a lot of other sites if you had a prominent launch etc. In terms of traction, it can generate a core group of first users, if your product is good and the churn isn't that bad it can gain momentum etc. But a lot of things interplay to translate in to true traction.

I would launch in other places than PH first. to get traction. Then leverage the traction / community you gather along the way to help with the PH launch.
