For me 3 things really come to mind. The first is communication with the stakeholders; that means understanding their motivations and aligning them with the product goals. Another one is data analytics; As a PM, if you can really interpret user data you have a huge advantage and can take your product to the next level with the insight you gained from analyzing data. And the third one is deep understanding of your customer; If you are making a B2C product, really knowing your customer is very important but is one thing that is often overlooked. Look at how your future customer behaves, what products do they already use, what matters most to them, what products they don't like and why... you can find a lot of information on Reddit, Quora, even on this platform, Tik Tok, other forums or even in your office.

One of the most underrated skills for a product manager is the ability to listen deeply and empathize with both users and team members; it's the cornerstone of building products that truly resonate. Additionally, mastering the art of prioritization using tools like RICE (Reach, Impact, Confidence, Effort) scoring can significantly enhance decision-making efficiency and product success.
