    Reposting this because i just wrote it up and it fits perfectly with your question :D Don't get overhyped on positive feedback, and don't brush criticism aside. Seen it so many times: "OMG they loved the presentation and said that this is the best thing they've ever seen" -> Never hear back from them again "So and so said they don't like this about our product" -> "That opinion is stupid, they just don't get it" I'm not saying that you shouldn't be happy about positive feedback or just change course because someone didn't like something. You should celebrate the small victories! But always look for trends in the feedback you get, and evaluate objectively. People can be very non-confrontational and dishonest when it comes to feedback.
