I would say that the best way to practice copywriting is by copywriting :) Books are mostly about theory and without practice they are useless.
I read and could recommend the following:
Elwyn Brooks White - Elements of Style
Vic Schwab - How to Write a Good Advertisement
Gary C. Halbert - The Boron Letters

I can't recommend a book because I have not read one.

You will find tonnes of inspiration and ideas from there.

i dont read books, didnt know there was books on copywrite
