    I'll start with few that helped me. website - goodui.org - Their homepage itself has 40+ principles with examples that you can quickly learn and adapt Book - Refactoring UI by Steve Schoger , Adam Wathan was a great book IMO with clear and easy examples. Blog - https://52weeksofux.com/ - short 52 articles but will keep you occupied for an year.

    For me, it was the book "The Design of Everyday Things" by Donald Norman that opened my eyes to the importance of UX.
