We made #1 Fintech Product of the Week!

Funny story about our launch: I've been here daily for the past 6+ months, receiving (sometimes giving) tons of advice from makers & developers, and announcing our launch 2 weeks in advance. Solid preparations, although now I know what I should improve on for the next launch. One of our competitors caught wind of our launch, and with a userbase 7x bigger than ours but only 12 hours' notice before 12:01am of launch day, they announced they too would launch. I welcomed the competition, and the morning started rocky as we were not marked as a 'Featured' product, but once we were, it went really well for us, ranking #3 for most of it, then dropping to #5 around noon as our competitor was acquiring upvotes like crazy. The evening came, and they were 1 rank above us, but before the midnight bell rang to end the day, the PH algorithm had removed about half of their upvotes and de-ranked them behind us. Why? I'm not sure; I won't speculate, but we all have an idea of how the PH algorithm works. David vs Goliath scenario, underdogs, but preparation paid off. Sticking to the checklist, marking emails as spam saying they would guarantee a top 5 spot, networking & outreach, and it all went in our favor! I'm overjoyed right now!
