Assalamu Alaikum, Dear Xiaomi Fans, Greetings from Xiaomi Community Bangladesh Tech Team! We hope you and your family are safe and well. Counter-Strike 2, or CS2, is the upcoming sequel to Valve's legendary multiplayer shooter, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), which was released in 2012. The game is set to launch sometime between June and September this year (2023), and will be a free upgrade to all existing CS:GO players. Here are some of the new features and changes that you can expect in Counter-Strike 2. A New Engine Valve has made a significant change in CS2 by shifting from the Source engine to the Source 2 engine, which is also utilized by other popular games such as Dota 2 and Half-Life: Alyx. The updated engine aims to enhance the game's graphics, performance, physics, sound, and modding capabilities. According to Valve, CS2 will be "the largest technical leap forward in Counter-Strike's history, ensuring new features and updates for years to come". A New UI CS2 has undergone significant changes, one of which is the updated user interface. The new UI has a modern and elegant appearance, with a minimalist design featuring a dark background and bright accents. The main menu has been simplified, making it easier to access important options like play, inventory, shop, and settings. In-game, the HUD has been improved with clearer icons, fonts, and colors. Additionally, the new UI supports dynamic scaling for various resolutions and aspect ratios. Another noticeable addition is the Kill Banner, which pops up below the screen when a player achieves a kill. This feature eliminates the need to constantly check the top-right corner of the screen, which could cause distractions during gameplay. New Maps CS2 is introducing new maps in three distinct categories - Overhaul, Upgrade, and Touchstone - for their upcoming game. Overhaul maps will be completely reconstructed to take full advantage of Source 2's features. Examples of these maps include Inferno, Italy, and Overpass. Upgrade maps will receive major visual changes, such as Ancient and Nuke. Lastly, Touchstone maps will undergo minor visual upgrades as they do not require any significant adjustments. Dust 2, Mirage, and Train 2 are among the confirmed maps for the limited beta test of Counter-Strike 2, though there may be more maps added when the game officially launches in the summer. A Smoky Tactic CS2 has introduced a fascinating new functionality in the form of a responsive smokes system. This system enables players to interact with smoke grenades in various ways, thereby expanding the tactical options available to them. One noteworthy feature is the enhanced realism of the smoke cloud, which now closely resembles actual smoke. Additionally, players can now shoot through smoke grenades to create openings or gaps in the cloud. These gaps can be exploited for peeking or for throwing other grenades. Furthermore, players can use flashbangs or molotovs to disperse or ignite smoke grenades, further enhancing their tactical capabilities. Tick Rate Improvement With the introduction of CS2, the competitive gaming experience is set to reach new heights by upgrading from the conventional 64-tick servers to more advanced 128-tick servers. The tick rate of a server is the frequency at which it updates the game's state, and higher tick rates facilitate more precise and reactive gameplay. In addition, CS2 will incorporate a novel anti-cheat system and an improved ranking system, which are essential enhancements. A New Era of Counter-Strike Counter-Strike 2 is on the horizon, promising to deliver an exhilarating and ambitious sequel that caters to both seasoned and novice fans of the series. The game aims to present a novel and enhanced gaming experience that will keep players hooked for an extended period. Regardless of whether you're a casual or hardcore gamer, Counter-Strike 2 offers something for everyone. CS2 is still in a limited-test only period. The full version of the game will be available for free to all players in the summer (June and September) of 2023. Source: (1) What are your thoughts on the new Counter-Strike 2? Learning to create skins for Rust sounds like a fun project! Since you're new to ZBrush, I'd recommend starting with some beginner tutorials on sculpting objects. YouTube has tons of great resources for that. Once you're comfortable with sculpting, you can move on to texturing and exporting your skins for Rust. It's a bit of a learning curve, but with practice, you'll get the hang of it! Also, I've heard that developing skins can be profitable, especially for popular items like the Nova skins in CS. You might want to check out https://skin.land/market/csgo/nova/ for more info and inspiration.
