Me first: I used Notion for note-taking at work and Obsidian for personal purposes because I want to see the relation between them instead of having a whiteboard always. Any other suggestions?

GanttPRO is a project management software based on a Gantt chart and useful for managing all kinds of projects and personal knowledge. It stands out for its intuitive interface and powerful features. The software (https://ganttpro.com/) includes features for breaking down projects in an efficient manner into subtasks, sibling tasks, and subprojects, as well as setting dependencies and milestones. To get more visibility, users can choose between the Gantt chart, Board views, and task dashboards. GanttPRO also offers handy task management features such as statuses, priorities, duration & estimation, progress, dates and deadlines, assignees, and more.

I'm keeping my notes and thoughts on Notes app on mac. Also I'm taking screenshot of things that I interested and collecting them in a folder to take a look later. Cmd + Shift + 4 is the best for catching things on internet.

@tanertuncer yes I always use taking screenshot on Mac to capture everything I want to remember as I kept forgetting my bookmarks later on. How do you manage the screenshot after that? Write down a note somewhere from the knowledge you get or simply just keep the screenshots and classify them in the right folder?

I'm terrible, I use my notes app on my macbook

@catherine_norris do you talk to yourself on Slack? Because I often did that to keep my notes before getting them in the right place haha

    I'm still old-school! 😳 I LOVE my pen, paper and post-it notes.

@gracehur simplicity is always better Grace! I always sketch out something with my pen as it would keep me remember for a longer time

I have used discord channels reserved for knowledge management and resources. This works ok. For personal knowledge management i use the notes app.

@robert_sutton1 oh this is interesting. I have used Discord for many years, love it but never thought about it. Would you mind if I ask how you did that? For the notes app, is it difficult if you want to match something together to see the relation between them? Like you need the whiteboard to draw things
    Paul Sutton
@huy_doan_quang For discord I just create channels called #resources and #knowledge, and dump information in them. And yes the notes app is not sophisticated enough to do that to my knowledge, so I end up using it for mostly text based notes.

@robert_sutton1 yeah agreed. For me, I also capture my screenshots and they are always end-up in my private message channel before transferring them to other apps :) Do you think it's helpful if some note-taking apps allow you to capture the content you see on web and allow you connect the relation between it and other notes. So looking back, you'll see how things are broken down and get more improvement ideas from it. Like the whiteboard but more sophisticated and digital

@huy_doan_quang Could be useful, but I am just not a very visual person. I use text to organize my ideas, and do not take many screenshots. However, I have worked with others who use whiteboards all of the time, and that may be a good tool for them.
