SEO is more valuable and gets reliable traction for the long term, but social media marketing is for short-term traction and its value evaporates quickly.

Why not both? But if forced to choose, social media for quick wins and brand building.
SEO takes time but pays off long-term with higher quality inbound traffic. Social media is great for quick bursts and engagement but you're at the mercy of algo changes. I'd prioritize SEO and use social to amplify it. Maybe look into tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs to optimize your SEO efforts?
SEO provides steady, organic growth for the long haul. Social media can give a nice initial bump but requires constant effort to maintain. I'd prioritize SEO for a B2C biz and use social to amplify your best SEO content. AI writing tools like Jasper or ChatGPT can help optimize content for both.
SEO for sure for long-term traction. Social media is great but fleeting... the value doesn't last. With good SEO your content keeps working for you and bringing in reliable traffic over time. Focus 80% on SEO, 20% social would be my rec for a B2C.
I think it depends on your specific B2C business and target audience. For products with longer sales cycles that rely on building trust and authority, investing in SEO can pay dividends in the long run with consistent organic traffic. Social media is great for generating buzz and engagement, especially for more impulse-driven purchases. Probably best to allocate some budget to both for a balanced approach. Has anyone found a particular mix that works well for their B2C biz?
I would say SEO, for it's a consistently optimizing process, but social media marketing can help your brand catch up with the trends and gain short-term volume.
