I just read an article about 16-year-old Duvan Tomas Perez, who was killed in an accident while working at the Mar-Jac Poultry plant in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. How did that happen, and why do we allow our employers to neglect our safety?

I guess most of us just don't think about the possible consequences until such awful cases happen.
