Poll as comment engagement under launch

Hi, in your experience do polls under a launch perform well, i.e. do they get a lot of engagement? Would this engagement then also help boost the launch performance? I am still a bit unsure if comments / poll votes help at all or if the rating is predominantly influenced by the number of upvotes? Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
