Layoffs in 2023

Certainly in the beginning of the year I think we'll see more. It's hard to tell how long it will last, but things like this tend to be a rolling wave. It depends how much money a given company had raised, how much revenue they are generating and what their runway looks like. Eventually, if companies are not stable enough to support themselves without an additional influx of capital, they will be forced to let go of staff.
