Is it still worth it?

Hi. I've been a PH user for many years. Not super active, but I love the core value of PH which, for me at least, is to find new cool stuff first.
I've never launched anything the "proper" way as is suggested and well documented on the webs.
However, this will probably change over the next months.
But there comes my question. Is it worth all the effort? Is the most successful launch the one which games the algorithm best?
Since last time I looked at this, I see that PH has introduced some measures avoid spam and non-organic support. Is this working? I mean, upvotes is one thing, but genuine feedback about the product/feature is (most) valuable.
Is it now required to put in a lot of effort to "game the algo" and build an ad-hoc audience? The organic PH community alone not enough?
Sorry. Lot's of questions here, but I'd appreciate advice and experiences both from recent launches and the PH community.

It's absolutely worth it. I've been on PH for a little over a year and have gained so much love and great connections through this platform :)

While gaming the algorithm can provide initial visibility, genuine feedback and value determine long-term success. Efforts to build an authentic audience and engage the PH community are worthwhile. Focus on delivering a quality product and fostering meaningful interactions.

I will find out today as I am launching today and let you know. I am largely relying on organic traffic and I am actively communicating the value proposition of the product here ->

The way I see it, it is important to bring awareness because nobody knows what you are launching but I would shy away from any inorganic traffic because anyways it won’t be useful in the long run. Does product hunt work in that regard ? I will find out today.
I'm a pretty fresh PH user, but lurked for a while before joining. Realistically, there's no "right" answer to your questions, but there's no downside to engaging on the platform either (except for time, I suppose).
As I continue to gear up for the launch of my upcoming app, I'm finding that scouring PH has been a great resource for "Do's and Don'ts," but that, ultimately, the success of your launch will be determined by the effort you put in and a bit of luck.
I know that's probably not as definite or solid an answer as you might like, but it's worth engaging organically and seeing results accrue over time.
