Is a FREE tier/plan necessary to successfully launch a SaaS on Product Hunt?

Many of the guides say that you should, but I've been looking at recent days and many have just a free trial, or a very small free tier.
How about your SaaS?

A free tier or plan can be a strategic move for a SaaS launch on Product Hunt, as it lowers the entry barrier for potential users to try your service. However, it's not a one-size-fits-all solution. If your SaaS offers high-value, niche services, a free trial might be more appropriate to attract serious users. Consider the nature of your service, target audience, and long-term sustainability.

In my opinion free trial definitely make a good impression since everyone wants to try first. For me i will definitely will provide a free trial.

@sjoerdhandgraaf yes correct
Offering a free tier or plan can attract users, but it's not always essential for a successful SaaS launch on Product Hunt

@harryturner_009 I agree, it of course very much depends on the product/audience.
