  • If you raised VC capital, how long did it take first time?

Some time ago we made a research on how long it usually takes to close the first VC deal. For equity deals in traditional markets, the average was 10-12 months since the start of approaching VCs. For crypto startups raising in tokens the bear market average is 3-4 months (compared to 2-3 weeks on a bull market). I feel curious to know what is the average for startups on Product Hunt?

Haven't raised any capital, but it probably depends on the market as you've already noted a bit. Ii would say do more research into your own market to get funding. It also depends on how much revenue you've already had, if any. Obviously someone with just an idea is much less likely to get funding than someone who's already had 100k in revenue in their first month.

I would say it depends more on your product than time. If you get 1000x everyday users you probably going to raise some money quickly, if you are doing a project as a hobby it going to take longer.
