What exact steps would you take to build your personal brand from scratch?
Looking to understand how you'd approach this - platforms, content, networking, or any other strategies.

@ashitvora As someone who's been a PR professional, I've seen how 'Thought Leadership' gets built through consistent efforts of sharing your expertise. Commenting on trending topics and backing your opinion with any primary research is what is valued most. Getting that message across to the right disseminators (media editors and journalists - Podcasters and Insta/ YT influencers these days) who will then help you achieve 'Multiplier effect' and also being seen participating at online/ offline events is also essential.
Karthik Srinivasan's book "Be Social: Building Brand YOU Online" is a good reading resource for this action plan. If you ask me, I believe with your time spent in providing insightful comments for products launched on this platform (PH), as well as the LinkedIn posts which I see you sharing, you already are on the right tract Ashit.

Love this question! For someone starting their personal brand today, I'd suggest focusing heavily on creating valuable, insightful content and sharing it on the platforms where your target audience hangs out. LinkedIn is great for establishing thought leadership. Engage in conversations, post original content highlighting your expertise, and build genuine relationships. Owned channels like an email list, blog or podcast can also be powerful for growing your brand. The key is consistency, authenticity, and providing real value. Leveraging trending topics and demonstrating your unique POV is smart. Partnering with established voices in your space for content collabs, interviews etc. can give you a visibility boost. But ultimately, it comes down to putting in the work, having patience, and letting your genuine passion and knowledge shine through your content. Would love to hear what's worked for others!
