I'm new to PH and need your help with setting the right tone in discussions

Hello PH, I've been active here only for a month. And I love other people's discussions and want to start my own, but most of them don't show up in the feed. Even in the specific sub-threads they don't show up, and are not searchable, but I can see posts from like months ago with no upvotes by other users - but I can't see mine with a few upvotes and activity. I don't get it. Some of my discussions are visible, it doesn't apply to all of my discussions, but still... so my question is: What are the red flags to avoid in the discussion posting? What can you suggest in order to help me fit the PH's format and tone?
