How often do you choose the free over the paid online products?

Hi everybody! This is my first post and I hope it will be interesting for you. If I have to calculate it I'm picking about 80% free and 20% paid online products. I think this is quite drastic, but there's probably logic behind that - I'm a programmer and If I really need something I'm building it my own :D I've found out that for the people from low Tier countries, their first job is to loose hundred of hours and find what they are looking for, for FREE. I'm constantly asked if we have free,demo,trials (and if they can last months :D ), so I answer NO we are paid mass email marketing service. If we go free, it will be destroyed.
