It depends on the business I would say. In general is good to put a "solid" face to whatever type of business. However, some benefit more than others. I would say you should aim for knowledge, and in the industry of your startup/business/product you should be known as the person who knows shit and gets shit done. But i wouldn't advise, spending hours on building your personal brand on places like Linkedin or Twitter just to do it. Wasted energy that could be used better in other things.

It's possible to make a business work without personal branding, but personal branding can not only 100x your current business, but tremendously help you in starting new ones.
So I'd say it's #1 priority for anyone who's serious about entrepreneurship.

It help you alot if people know you; they are definitely going to test what you like or recommending.
About 10 years ago I would have said it wasn't that important. Now personal branding is a necessity if your company wants to succeed.
It's suuuuuper important, i mean personal branding is maybe the one source of organic marketing that works the best! Especially when founders post on socials themselves.

If people know you and you recommend something to someone they will check it or not, what you say?
@abod_rehman In startups, the business and the founder are deeply intertwined—especially in the early days. A founder’s authentic voice isn’t just branding; it’s the raw, unfiltered perspective that sets the company apart. People resonate with bold, spiky takes because they signal conviction and expertise. If the founder doesn’t articulate what makes their business unique, why should anyone else care? Personal branding isn’t just about visibility; it’s about shaping the narrative that drives belief and momentum.
This is just one strategy. If executed properly, it can be an effective way to attract new clients and grow the business. However, personal branding demands significant personal effort and a certain mindset.
I am glad that you raised that topic. I wanted to ask the same question. Now I am struggling with really low traffic on my landing page. So, I was thinking how to get to more people on social media.
