How important are upvotes in the first few hours of launch?

And how do you get upvotes if your community is sleeping? Lol

The first 4 hours seem to be the most influential because Product Hunt starts sorting the main page by the number of votes after that period.
I guess you want to have at least some connects with folks from Europe, Africa and Asia :)

@kostyabolsh Keeping in mind that I am launching tomorrow, consider me officially stressed after reading your comment 😅
Good Luck with your launch man. Looks like an impressive product.
Would love your support on mine as well 😊(https://www.producthunt.com/prod...) 🤞
@kostyabolsh this is what I was worried about... we mainly have a US audience for now, so might be nothing we can do about that.
@cameron_napoli If you have couple of weeks before launching you can build relationship with some folks on PH from Europe & India
Community is supportive, so getting someone who would be open to check your launch and share feedback may be doable

I'm not sure the algorithm ... but it sure makes me feel better to see the vote counts increase. It would be beneficial to have your product toward the top of the list.

Launching soon!
Upvotes in the first hours are like the opening act of a tech concert - they set the tone but don't determine the whole show! To get upvotes when your community is snoozing, maybe wake them up with a gentle tech alarm clock... or a meme-filled bat-signal for techies!
I think Yes, Upvotes in the first few hours of a launch are crucial as they boost visibility, engagement, and can create a momentum effect also and it also help to increasing the likelihood of the launch's success.
