How I moved across the country for my startup

We had just one week to pack up our lives in Appleton, Wisconsin, and relocate to Austin, Texas for the 3-month accelerator program. It was a whirlwind of excitement and anxiety that I’ll never forget.
Our first day of work was set for July 31st, and that gave us a mere seven days to find housing, make travel arrangements, and up-end our comfortable routines in Appleton. The clock was ticking, and the pressure was on.
Our first move was to secure plane tickets to Austin. Little did we know that the chaos had only just begun.
Finding an apartment in a week, especially as an international student, was no small task. Our initial choice of a leasing agent left us ghosted and in the lurch.
To add to the drama, our flight with United was delayed to Sunday, July 30th, though this unexpected delay turned out to be a blessing.
