Struggling to break free from our phones is a common challenge. We easily get drawn back into social media apps with just one distraction. To limit my social media usage, I set a goal of 1 hour and 30 minutes using Apple's native tool. However, there are times, especially when I'm feeling anxious, when I find myself disregarding the limit and opening the apps anyway. Recently, I came across an app called "One Sec" that has been helpful. It initiates a breathing exercise whenever I open a selected app. These quick 6 seconds give me a moment to pause and become aware of my actions. I can then choose to close the app or continue using it, but the breathing exercise helps me realize when I'm entering the app unconsciously. It has been a game-changer for me in reducing mindless scrolling. My goal is to use social media for 1h 30 a day and reduce the number of times I just mindlessly scroll through social media.

I would recommend turning your phones colour off. So Greyscale. Makes it less addicting.
