How do you measure your day-to-day productivity?

This goes to everyone out there? Do you measure the number of hours? How do you map it with the outcome? Irrespective of how successful or unsuccessful an initiative is, how do you justify the efforts put in?

Measuring hours are for time slaves. Justifying ROI? hmm. Sometimes a lot of work unlocks great treasures. Even tho it seems moot for a long time. It's a bet. You have to bet to win. Long bets and big bets are where the big prizes are. Small bets -> small prices etc. the biggest opportunities requires you to work on the hard problems out there. IMO the best people always want to work on hard problems. They can even do it without payment.
