I limit my screen time after work. No emails, no Slack messages. It’s my time to unwind, read a book, or spend quality time with family and friends.

Spend time with family and friends, limit screen time (especially time on short videos/reels that are basically meaningless), and try to spend some time with nature everyday

I mixed my hobbies and work so much that now, it is hard to find a borderline. 😅 Time blocking could help with both.

@busmark_w_nika Mixing hobbies with work sounds so tricky. Time blocking sounds like a smart solution. I’ll give it a try. Thanks!

There are times (like yesterday and today - launch) where the balance doesn't seem to exist :D But during regular times, I don't have trouble with it :)

@paulinahryniewicz Launch days can definitely throw off balance 🫠 Glad to hear it’s manageable most of the time!

Set boundaries between work and personal life. Only work when it's working hour, the rest you should focus on your personal life such as hobby, pets, family, etc.

No checking texts after work or using a laptop. I still have trouble with it, though; I also had to learn the hard way how to set limits and say no when they're needed. additionally taking a quick vacation every three months or so to clear my head

@prem_saini1 I can relate to this. It's really hard to say no but now I think I should when needed. Thanks!

Hi there, What really helps me is using calendar blocks. I used to only organize my workday with them, but now I also block out personal time for things like a proper lunch (not just a quick salad at my desk), taking a walk, reading, or doing something creative. The hardest part, though, is the mental shift. I try to treat these 'blocks' like I would treat a meeting with a friend: I’m on time and I don’t cancel last minute without a good reason. It's all about respecting those commitments to yourself. As the saying goes, 'Treat yourself like someone you love.' Hope this helps a bit!

Maintaining work-life balance is crucial. I find setting clear boundaries between work and personal time helps—establishing a routine with designated breaks, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring quality time for hobbies or relaxation. It's about creating harmony to stay both productive and refreshed.

Maintaining a work-life balance requires setting clear boundaries between work and personal time, and prioritizing activities that recharge you. Regular breaks and mindful time management also play a crucial role in staying balanced and productive.

I don't believe in the work-life separation thing since work is essentially a part of my life. Here’s how I blend work and life into a happy, productive mix: 🎯 Purpose-Driven Work: My work aligns with my long-term goals and passions, so it doesn't feel like a separate, draining entity. When you're doing what you love, it all blends seamlessly. 🕒 Flexible Schedule: I prioritize tasks based on energy levels rather than strict hours. If I’m feeling creative at midnight, that’s when I dive into design-focused projects. If I’m feeling analytical in the morning I do dev/strategy-related projects. This flexibility keeps me energized and prevents burnout. 🌟 Integrated Breaks: Instead of clocking out completely, I take small, meaningful breaks throughout the day. Whether it’s a walk, a quick workout, or a hobby, these moments recharge me without disrupting my flow. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Involvement: I involve my family in my work journey. Sharing successes and challenges makes them feel part of my world, and their support fuels my motivation. 🧘‍♂️ Mindfulness and Wellness: I practice mindfulness and wellness activities like meditation and exercise. These keep my mind sharp and my stress levels in check, ensuring I stay productive and happy. Of course, it’s not always perfect. Here are a few fail points I’m working on: 📅 Overcommitment: Sometimes, I take on too much and end up stretched too thin, which can affect both my work and personal life. ⏰ Time Management: Despite my best efforts, there are days when I struggle to balance everything, and tasks spill over into personal time. 🌙 Late Nights: My flexible schedule sometimes leads to late nights, which can throw off my routine and affect my overall energy. ⏳ Procrastination: There are moments when I procrastinate, pushing tasks until the last minute, which adds unnecessary stress and disrupts my flow. For me, it's all about integration rather than separation. What are your thoughts?

I have tried it multiple times, and I have always failed at this. So, I would be happy to learn from other people's experiences.
