Novelty! I've read a lot of studies that indicate switching up your environment is everything. So when the slump kicks in, I head out of the house. For some reason, that mini commute changes everything.

@emily_matick Sometimes working from home can be repetitive, head to a co-working space or coffee shop for a change in environment.
Im using Ivy Lee Method to stay motivated :)

@sandradjajic I keep seeing this 😅...can you elaborate please?

@sandradjajic @psd Essentially you assign yourself no more than six tasks a day to complete, I hope that helps!
@psd @lene__jones It does, as time progress and i implement this technique more i will start adding more tasks, depending on the work i have. :)

The first step to overcoming the midweek slump is to know that it’s completely normal. Everyone experiences it. It’s just a matter of how often and how severely. Some people look forward to the weekend, while others look forward to Friday afternoons. Either way, the weekend never seems to come fast enough, and we're left with a "weekday gap". The inability to get going after a break is a universal issue for anyone who works for a living.

I feel we are mostly reward driven creatures. It doesn't need to be big, but having something to wait for at the end of the day or at the end of the week helps a lot. Like the new episode of a show, or a cheap dinner with someone you can enjoy some good time. If it is too hard to get to that reward, it is also perfectly fine to stop for a bit, breath in for a couple of hours and just go back at it later. I was a Software Developer for quite a few years, and many times I would leave work earlier, so that I could find a solution, rather than just stressing about what was not working. Everyone is different in their approach, but everyone feels this problem at some point. It is perfectly normal :)
