How do you get past OpenAI's location filter?

OpenAI seems to restrict certain countries from accessing their services. They require a phone number and reject virtual numbers, so a VPN doesn't work.
Curious, how do you get past their filters if you live in a restricted country?

Hey Richard, one way to get past OpenAI's location filter is to use a service like sms-activate to rent an activated SMS number for less than $0.5 (previously even cheaper with ID number but recently OpenAI block it), pick a UK number, and use it to create an OpenAI account. However, using these types of services come with risks, so proceed with caution.
Dealing with location filters is a puzzle. I've heard using a reliable proxy with a dedicated IP might do the trick. You can find the best proxy sites https://www.reddit.com/r/webscra... here. It worked for me in a pinch. Worth a shot!
