The first, of course, is to pay decently at least to start. Even geniuses will leave if they are materially undervalued.
Second, online/offline meetings, calls. This will make the talent realize that everyone is a living person, communication highlights acceptance into the pack.
Third, more appropriateness in deadlines, task load.
