    How do we know who's real anymore?

    Today we launched Model Muse, which makes virtual fashion models, and so leading up to this I've spent the last several months at the forefront of AI generated photo-realistic images of people. I've now realized that "Seeing is believing" is most definitely not reliable anymore. The models have gotten scary good. So, what do we do now? How do we know if who we are interacting with online is real or a robot? If anything, this realization has given me a newfound appreciation for genuine IRL human interactions. Curious to hear others' thoughts on navigating the post-human virtual social landscape.

    Ooo! Really good question! Honestly, all of this feels like a crazy extension of the sort of influencer culture we’ve seen over the last 10 years. Reality is just getting further and further distorted. What do you think about the ethical guidelines around this? Is it up to us the indie makers to self monitor this? Or is it the responsibility of the larger platforms to provide a level of transparency?
