Hi guys, finding an interesting idea to build a product has always been challenging for me. What techniques do you use to find real problems and build solution for them

You can talk to your ideal target users and understand their pain points which you can solve. On Syncy.net you can find your target users and book calls with them.

I always believe in market-product fit instead of product-market fit. But finding a real problem or idea to start working on is really hard. I think it should come from your personal experience or something similar.

Probably, it's all about your mindset. There are lots of problems we face on a daily basis. You just see an imperfection in something. You automatically start to think about what can be done to fix this imperfection and here you go, you have another idea for a start-up. I'd say I have another problem. I need to cool myself down all the time because jumping from one idea to another is not great. I've chosen one that excites me most and I've been working on it for several years. I want to solve one of the fundamental problems of humanity. This kind of scale excites me most!

Great question! Here is what I think most folks do: 1. find a big enough growing market, and then find out what are the real problems within this market 2. Be creative solving this problem 3. Get your wonderful idea (ideas)

I think we have already encountered many such ideas in our life, but never acted upon them. We need to be more aware to let ideas sink into our hearts.

I think the problem should be recurring and one finds a problem like that in day-to-day routines - either personal or business/work related. I think you don't find a problem, but a problem finds you. You just need to pay attention and recognize it. What can also help is having subject experts in different fields in your network, and interviewing them. We did hundreds of user / problem interviews with @imanmoaz while working on our product (soon to be launched) with people from different fields: software developers, product owners, marketers, video producers, podcasters, tutors, sales people. And their real feedback from their fields of expertise helped us find common, real problems, and focus on solving not what we think about a potential problem, but what people actually need. Problem Interviews is the best idea if you want to find a problem in a field that you are not personally familiar with.

Great ideas usually come at the most unpredictable of times.

Collate problems and issues that arise from different people or even from yourself then put more research into it. Try asking this one to https://wizly.app, experts there might be able to give you their inputs. Feel free to connect with me to LinkedIn!

Hi Tural, I think this could help you gain more clarity on which concepts or ideas to build on. The link explains how it works. Hope this is helpful https://conjointly.com/products/...

Research. Looking for points of pain. A business will buy a product if it reduces costs, increases profitability or has a significant cultural benefit to the organisation. That said, you also need to know if someone is willing to pay for a product and if it is enough to build a business. Also, try out the Wardley Mapping process.

I have a really good process - Find the top priority problem. How do you do it? You start with an idea of a problem for a specific type of customer/segment. Use hairdressers as an exempel and that you think they have a problem with say booking system for the customer. Step 1: identify many hairdressing businesses - the more the better Step 2: Write down the problem and solution: "Do you have a problem with clients having a hard time booking a time with you?" "What if I have solution X that is simple and easy to set up" Step 3: Call the potential customers and ask them 1. Do you have this problem? 2. On a scale 1-5 how big problem is this? 3. How prioritised would it be to solve the problem with the solution I have on a scale 1-5? You do 10 interviews and the iterate your message (problem & solution). Eventually you will have found a customer segment that has only 5 on the problem you are testing and also 5 on the solution. If you find that you might build the next unicorn! (if the market is big enough).
