We joined YC's winter school and asked other founders during the weekly zoom discussions to test it out and share their feedback with us.
Not at all scalable, but we got some great early insights that then helped get from 10 to 100. ๐

@sandra_idjoski cold outreach?

@natiakourdadze No, no, around 6-8 founders would get matched each week to talk about what they were building and how they were moving along.
During those talks, we would ask the other founders to download our extension and see what they think. We were also testing the products of other founders and giving feedback on mockups ๐
@sandra_idjoski Nice! One of the many reasons B2B startups are favoured by accelerators. Cross seeding is a very effective strategy.

@davidpopescu66 No application process at all! ๐
We'd done it in early 2022 when we were starting out and it was open to anyone who wanted to take part.
There were online lectures once a week, founder circles where you would get matched through their platform, and a final presentation for everyone who took part at the end.

Launching soon!
I got it from posting on LinkedIn groups related to entrepreneurship and startups.
We got our initial ten users from Twitter (X).
I started a preorder campaign using Google ads last week and it caught on pretty quickly. I was hoping for about 200 signups but thought that might be overzealous. After 10 days I have 750 people preregistered so Iโm in awe right now. Super excited for my launch tomorrow.
We reached out to the most 'social' friends we had and asked them to reach their networks. Even if 1 such person responds well to this, you can easily get 20+ users that way, assuming it is B2C you are talking about.
