    QB Dekkers accused of betting on Iowa St. games Hunter Dekkers has been accused of gambling on Iowa State sports, including football, and was charged Tuesday with tampering with records. Three other Iowa State athletes -- two current and one former -- also have been accused of gambling and tampering. www.espn.com www.espn.com From the ESPN article: "Iowa State quarterback Hunter Dekkers has been accused of betting on events involving the Cyclones, including a 2021 football game, and is among four current or former athletes at the university charged with tampering with records related to an ongoing investigation by the Iowa Criminal Division."     The gambling ads are ubiquitous! As someone said in the “Sports Czar” thread that he would not allow gambling ads to be shown during games, and I agree wholeheartedly. If you keep sticking it in people’s faces, some are going to succumb to the lure. It’s a sad reflection of our society.
