  • Have you built a membership / community? If so - what was the most important part?

Curious about both platform experience from a user but also curious about your own personal experience - ie: if you engaged more frequently you found retention was better - if you put out 3 videos and 2 take home assignments engagement was the best etc

By building a community I found that consistent engagement, like weekly challenges and live Q&As, kept retention and excitement high.

Definitely, consistent engagement is key! I've found live Q&As, member spotlights, and exclusive content work well. Also critical is understanding your audience and catering to what they want. Tools like Circle.so or Mighty Networks can help streamline community management too.

Engagement is key for sure. I found having a strong onboarding sequence to welcome new members and get them involved right away makes a big difference in retention. Also gamification with points, badges, leaderboards etc. Oh and a referral program to incentivize members to invite others. Those have been the most impactful for the communities I've built.
