People are more lonely than ever before. The average American spent 15 hours per week with "friends" a decade ago, 12 hours per week in 2019 and only 10 hours a week in 2021. They spent 38% less time with friends and extended family over Thanksgiving weekend in the past two years than they had a decade prior. Worse, Americans did not transfer that lost time to spouses, partners or children. Instead, they chose to be alone. How have relationships changed in the past three years? https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/11/23/americans-alone-thanksgiving-friends/

Even though things never stay the same, they should spend some time with their families. Maybe they’re alone because they invest their time in creating more.
