Have social apps ruined their likeability?🤔

Maybe it's only me who's noticed this, but social apps are losing (or have lost) touch with their users and what they want from an app. Have you also noticed this? Let me know what you think in the comments

maybe some but not all, socials like instagram defenitly are trying to steal every feature new apps bring up, but companys like discord are listening to their users

There seems to be a huge push to copy each other. Some seem to have to tried to transition their social features to be almost identical to each other.
Is this losing touch or assuming that everyone wants the same thing?
@dominic_frazer_imregh interesting point, it's a combination of both - when one assumes that everyone wants the same thing then you are losing touch with what your consumers want to a certain degree. Having a feature(s) that differentiates an app from the rest is therefore key to stand out and remain authentic.

@anoirhoumou honestly, i don't think they strive to be authentic anymore. Right now i thing about the large platforms as a tech equivalent of Starbucks or McDonald's. Like, its not about authenticity at this scale, its about vacuum-clean the best new business practices from the market. Plus, a guess TikTok shows, that one of the main factors of success right now - provide the best conditions for influencers. They can bring their audience at any platform, if they have a clear motivation to do so
@ilya_uglianitsa good point Ilya
