Hello all,
We’re launching wetlk, a brand-new social media platform that combines cutting-edge AI moderation with free AI chat services for its users. Our mission is to create a secure, engaging, and innovative space where users can interact, earn rewards through our XP token system, and access premium AI tools for free.
As we gear up for growth, we’re curious:
- What are the most effective growth hacking strategies for a new social media platform like wetlk?
- How would you attract the first 10,000 users with no marketing budget?
- Are there any tools, partnerships, or creative campaigns you’ve seen work well for similar platforms?
We’d love to hear your thoughts, experiences, and product suggestions! If your product could support our mission, feel free to share it—we’re open to exploring collaboration opportunities.
Your input could play a pivotal role in shaping wetlk’s growth journey. Let’s brainstorm together! 🚀

You should consider doing a plug-in for Canva. I run SurPlate with my husband (IG: official_surplate). It's a growing family business focused on cottage food sellers, home bakers, bakeries, and catering businesses to be hosted on our platform. We're piloting our product across Texas, USA right now. What I've noticed that gets a lot of reach from some of these growth hacker influencer accounts and accounts in general is pretty and beautifully vibrant Reels, Posts, and Stories on Instagram. They're creating a base video or image in Canva and then doing the final edits on Instagram such as adding trending audio, tags, location, filters, etc.. Also, I tried browsing and exploring wetlk but there isn't a way (an easy way) to do that unless you sign up for an account. If you eventually launch an app, I know for sure the App Store is gonna ding you guys for that. They want new users to have the capability to browse new apps without the requirement of signing up. I went through this phase about 3 months ago with them.

Definitely try partnering with popular design and editing tools like Canva to get your brand in front of their large user base. Make an easy-to-use plugin that provides value, like AI-powered templates or suggestions. And allow people to browse your platform without signing up - the easier you make it to explore, the more likely people are to create an account and engage. Leverage trendy content formats like Reels to boost your visibility and reach. Good luck with the launch!
Partnering with Canva is a great idea for expanding your platform's reach! Lots of small businesses and influencers use Canva to create eye-catching visuals. Providing an easy way to share that content on your platform could drive a ton of engagement. And good call on making your app browsable without requiring sign-up - the App Store definitely prefers that for discoverability. Excited to see where you take this!
